VICTORY!

Sat Nov 22, 2008, 5:16 PM
Well, it was a long run but I am now finished.

That's right. As of today, November 22nd, 2008, I have my story finished at 50,151 words. It's been saved, backed up twice and now I'm going to upload a copy to deviantART for those who care to actually read.

I'm sure I should do some sort of victory speech or something, but I'm all writ out, so I'm going to go play some violent video games before taking a crack at the pile of homework that has backed up in the last week as I went all out to finish.

Well I've just uploaded what I have of NaNoWriMo. The story I'm using is the story I had for an OC of mine, created for something way back. Decided to finally get it down in words, so I'm doing it in a mad rush to get 50,000 words in a month. ^_^ Never had a real big story, though a friend's got a wonderful one and I'm envious.

Holy damn, 50,000 words in one month? Is that even possible...

At a rate of 1,667 words every day for 30 days, yes. However at the same time I've gotten several days works stockpiled the first weekend and I write 2,000 per sitting, per day. Right now I'm at roughly 20,000 words by the end of Day 5, so it's possible.

How could you do that to yourself !! (well, unless you don't mind, but i would mind) That's like taking 3/4 you month away.

Not really. Truth be told to sit down and write 2,000 words is roughly half an hour work for me when it's writing fiction on my own accord. And I enjoy writing; it's what I want to make a career of, so this is good practice.
